Course
Content
This course is a shortened version of the OTI 204 course that
familiarizes the student with various types of common machinery
and the related safety hazards. Guidance is provided with
respect to the hazards associated with various kinds of machinery
and the control of hazardous energy sources (lockout/tagout).
The course presents an approach to machine inspection that
enables participants to recognize hazards such as those created
by points of operations, rotating parts and flying chips,
and provides options to achieve abatement.
Prerequisites/Participant
Tools
The course manual will be provided. The course manual on CD
and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) may be purchased for
an additional fee.
